Impression-based fingerprinting is here

Today we’re happy to announce the release of another level of user tracking: impression-based fingerprinting.

The main idea behind this feature is to measure marketing efficiency and its effects on app installs. Impressions come from many places, from banner ads to blog posts - and now Adjust can provide you with a look at the touchpoints that lead to an install.

This feature will prove beneficial for clients who would like to be able to track their own website traffic and the resulting effects it has on driving installs.

The specs

Impression-based fingerprinting will be automatically set to off in your dashboard. To turn on the feature, you can find it under a new impression-based fingerprinting setting within the attribution settings of an app (and in Campaign Wizard for clients who have tracker attribution settings).

This feature works on all platforms, including iOS and Android.
