New Testing API: Now you can debug anywhere, anytime
Posted Aug 10, 2017
Recently we launched the Testing Console, which makes testing your marketing campaigns and app features easy.
To support the tool, we’ve updated our testing API, which means you don’t always need to login to your Adjust dashboard to do your testing. Simply use one of the endpoints to either inspect (or forget) the device you’re testing. The forget device endpoint will be deprecated by August 30th.
For the inspect device endpoint, all you need to do is plug the app token (along with your advertising ID, whether it’s the IDFA or the Google Play ADID) into the endpoint, and you’ll see a response in your web browser. If you don’t know your advertising ID we also have a handy app for retrieving them.
To forget your device, join the Forget Device endpoint onto a simple HTTP client, like cURL. Then, your device data will be cleared from Adjust. Then you can keep testing without duplication.
If you’d like more information on Adjust’s Testing Console, or on the API itself, please take a look at our documentation. As always, if you have any questions, just reach out to our team at any time.
