Permission groups access management

More flexible access management with Adjust permission groups

As mobile marketing teams grow, more people need access to measurement and analytics platforms. But they don’t all need access to the same things.

Growth marketers need campaign performance data, agencies may need access to specific apps or links, and regional teams only need visibility into the markets they manage. At the same time, administrators need to protect sensitive data and configuration settings.

Adjust permission groups make it easier to manage these different access needs at scale. Rather than relying on a single role to determine what a user can do, account Admins can create reusable permission groups, define the access each group needs, and assign users to one or more groups.

How do Adjust permission groups work?

Permission groups build on Adjust’s existing Custom permission roles, giving Admins more flexibility in how permissions are configured and combined.

Each group can define access across four areas:

  • App access: Choose which apps are available to members of the group.
  • Product area access: Define the level of access to specific product areas.
  • Data access: Control which metrics users can access, with additional filters for dimensions such as network, country, or platform.
  • Link access: Decide whether users can Read, Edit, or Create links, including whether they can change attribution settings. Access can also be restricted by network or campaign keyword.

This means access can be shaped around how people actually work, rather than trying to fit every user into a single predefined role.

The right access for every role

Consider an agency partner that needs to create tracking links for a new campaign. You can give them permission to create links while restricting access to attribution settings, so they can launch the campaign without changing your measurement setup.

The same approach works across different teams and responsibilities. A developer running SDK tests might only need access to the Testing Console. A regional manager covering Southeast Asia might need access to the relevant apps and networks without visibility into the global portfolio.

And because users can belong to more than one permission group, access can be combined when someone’s responsibilities span different areas. This gives Admins more flexibility to provide the access people need without opening up parts of the account that aren’t relevant to their work.
